Week 6th brings such mixed feelings. On the one hand, it always feels like we’ve figured out the teams. In fact, it appears in 2023 to be a week with some lopsided matches. On the other hand, that means the defenses have also started to figure out the offenses. Week 6 historically tends to bring surprises and unexpected upsets. I see no other way to navigate it, so we jump into the fray!

Notes:

  • There is an awesome new feature on the Historical matches! Now you can see a visual histogram representing the 50 “closest” historical games.

  • The accuracy report was released last week.

  • I’m trying to figure the value of various Reddit posts. For example, the Saturday consensus posts get low attention and higher downvotes. The Thursday kicker posts have lost some attention. Typically a post gets maybe 250,000 views but only 0.1% upvoted. It’s not upvotes that matter, but visibility for your interaction. Share your thoughts on the posts, if you have ideas.
