Hey gang!
No special news. Last time I reminded you about the 3rd monthly Accuracy Report ,
And this time I’m really busy with new analytical studies and some website projects.
I will have a Reddit post tomorrow (Wednesday) announcing our successful charity donation.
There’s a rumor I might even be on video sometime soon, so maybe keep an eye out.
Defenses: It was an above average week, as fantasy goes.
Sadly that means there was the normal number of busts: Pretty much everyone was wrong on the Browns.
Top good calls were being higher on: Eagles and Bills.
Best ones avoided (lower on than others): Commanders, Ravens, and Packers.
Worst call: I was lower on the Vikings by several spots, and higher on Titans.
Kickers: It was AGAIN an above average week in predictability, for most rankers.
You probably scored well with a top kicker: Myers, Loop, Bates, McLaughlin, and Mevis were great for top 8.
The only real bust was McManus at #7.
Best calls compared to others: Higher on Loop and Elliott.
Busts avoided compared to other rankings: McPherson and Prater
My biggest miss: I was too low on Aubrey, for the second week in a row.
QB: Well, it wasn’t as bad as week 11 was…. But the context is important: We’ve now seen 5 weeks in a row where QBs have not performed the way Rankers assess them. This is pretty unusual. This week, the big busts at the top of the rankings were: Jayden Daniels, Jalen Hurts, and Daniel Jones. All scored fewer than 3 points, so basically close to zero. Then we had Shedeur Sanders at the bottom of the rankings, coming out with a 33+ point game.
Survivor: Buccaneers was the end of the line for pathway 1. The season overall is going better than can be expected on average.
Betting Lines: Unexciting in returns is… good news for us. A small loss almost offset last week’s 3% gain— This is nothing compared to weeks with big swings of 40% up and down.
Now we can say welcome to playoffs, for real!
You can still use the D/ST pairing tool to look ahead and make your last-minute stashes heading into the championship.
There are several great options for the week, so hopefully you have one of them already: Eagles, 49ers, Bears, Texans, Jaguars, and Seahawks. Most of you had the look-ahead to make your plans.
Some usual suspects of Kickers are still at the top. If you need to stream, then Little and the 49ers kicker might be available. Will we see Pineiro back?
