New TapThatDraft Subscription Tier: Responsive Draft Aid Features

By Updated July 31, 2026

You might have noticed the website got a new Subscription option, a few days ago yesterday.

Now there is a separate tier, unlocking TapThatDraft features that we upgraded in 2026!

Previously, draft tool features were never listed any subscription benefits.

Here's what's going on:

  1. Of course, everyone still has totally free access to generating cheat sheets (Hold-My-BeerSheets)-- That's for always!

  2. The locked features are the newly developed "responsive" aspects. (More on this below… It’s about making pick recommendations, based on roster-awareness and forecasted positional scarcity).

    • We also newly developed TapThatDraft syncing capability with ESPN drafts (and mock drafts). Snake drafts and Auction drafts.

  3. Note: Last year, we freely previewed a couple things that aren't available anymore.

    • (A) Auction Inflation tracking-- a responsive feature-- is only accessible under the TapThatDraft subscription.

    • (B) The thing previously called "Dynamic" mode doesn't exist anymore. I judged it wasn't very effective: The results weren't much different from the static sheets.

Explanation

Here's a short description of how the new Snake Draft features work.
I'm personally really happy with how it's working, and I hope you will be too.

The Snake draft Recommendations work like this:

  • The tool keeps track of which positions other teams need most for their rosters, as their draft picks get registered. (Positional demand of specific teams before your next turn, drop-offs/cliffs in positional value.)

  • The tool also responds to your own roster composition. This means it distinguishes between starting roster spots, flex spots, and bench spots. It will give mild preference for optionality, meaning for non-"onesie" positional spots.

  • Taking all factors into consideration (own roster, league demand, drop-offs, optionality), the tool will then suggest a "Priority%" for each position, to try and best optimize your growing roster.

The Sync tool also makes a special implementation of this:

  • The Chrome extension guides you to match a TapThatDraft session with your ESPN league settings.

  • As players get drafted by the league, TapThatDraft will record the picks assignments from ESPN in snake order.

  • When it's your turn, TapThatDraft performs extra calculations to display your positional recommendations directly in the Chrome extension.

Auction mode currently has 2 responsive features in the subscription:

  • It will track auction inflation and display adjusted prices in a dedicated column, if you enter the prices paid per player.

  • It syncs with ESPN.

  • (Not implemented yet: I'm still sorting out a "position-specific inflation" calculation. Not sure yet if it can be ready in 2026.)

Enjoy!

Again, here's the video where I demonstrate the features for you. I hope you’ll find these additions to be substantially helpful. We spent the off-season on creating them, because it should have an impact!

I will keep posting explanations about various functions. As with the rest of the website, I think it's important that you know how things are working.
